Carter Kits are sensory support kits designed to help our first responders provide care to individuals with autism, sensory sensitivities, or other special needs

The kits contain items that can help reduce anxiety, provide comfort, improve communication, and build trust between the patient and EMS providers during an emergency. Our Northern Berks EMS staff has been trained to utilize these kits to serve our communities. It’s been a very busy few weeks for all of us at Northern Berks EMS, to say the least!

In addition to responding to our regular 911 calls, our crews had the opportunity to provide EMS coverage at the Berks County Fair, helping ensure the safety of everyone attending this year’s event.
